Speed Clinic

This clinic is designed for any runner who wants to improve their long distance running speed, whether it be in the 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, Marathon or Ultra-Marathon.

Winter Session A – $80 plus HST for 19 Speed Work Sessions

TUESDAY EVENINGS AT VARIOUS TIMES AND LOCATIONS

Tuesdays, from January 12 to May 18, 2021

  • Outdoor Speed Clinic from January 12 to March 23, and then join the clinic at Gibbons Park at the times shown below. 
  • The Outdoor Speed Clinic meets at 6:15 PM at Fox and Fiddle (Citi Plaza).
  • March 30 to May 18 at 6:00pm Gibbons Park parking lot

  • Run indoors from January 12 to March 23 at
    Thompson Arena, Western University
  • 8:00 to 8:25pm – Meet at track-side to drop bags and stretch.
  • 8:30pm SHARP! Indoor warm-up starts.
  • 8:45pm – Workout starts.
  • March 30 to May 18 at 6:00pm Gibbons Park parking lot

Summer Session – $80 plus HST for 19 Speed Work Sessions

WARM UP:
If you have arrive late and have NOT done a proper warmup, we request that you miss some of the workout to get a warmup in and join the workout in progress. Injuries can occur not warming up enough. Please also warm down after the workout.

What you need:

  • Minimum training base recommended
  • Good training shoes (Coach John can provide some advice)
